We stayed here the week of the Beaver Island Music Festival in July! If you want to get away from the stress in your life, I highly recommend this place!
The porch was my favorite spot where I'd rock slowly in a chair while a gentle breeze blew in from outside. And yes, I agree the breakfast was more than sufficient, and (minor downside) the rooms are a little small.....but this place is full of history!
Setting in the woods on the covered porch was very relaxing. Rooms comfortable although small. Clean and breakfast was very nice.
Finally, it was most importantly the host that seemed to make it her goal to include you in on discussions with other guest as if you were part of an extended family!
